It gets drive modes, and Sport mode is very quick and does enough for all those highway overtakes. Controversially, it does not get a 4×4, unlike the last Safari. ![]() It is a monocoque chassis-based SUV (For instance, Fortuner is a ladder-frame) and based on the same Land Rover platform. The Safari gets the same 2.0 turbo diesel present in the Harrier along with the same 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox. It also gets Terrain response modes connected to the ESP along with offroad ABS, traction control, hill-hold, electronic stability control, hill-descent control and more. The Safari is the second Tata Motors car to get connected technology and it gets various features like location-based services, vehicle diagnostics, remote features (remote lock/unlock etc.), over-the-air updates, and vehicle security services. Yes, thigh support is less, but headroom is good and you also get a separate blower control and USB ports. Amongst its many safety features are Hill hold control, Hill descent control, TPMS, Auto dimming IRVM, child seat isofix anchor points, and perimetric alarm system.The third row is surprisingly good, and access to it is best via the space between the captain’s seats once in, even tall passengers will not complain. The new Safari features advanced ESP with 14 additional functions, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, six airbags, and all-disc brakes. Eco, City, and Sport are the available driving modes in Safari. A 6-speed MT or 6-speed AT torque converter can be paired with the mill. Tata Safari 2021 has the Kryotec 2.0-litre in-line 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, providing 170PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. It can be folded, and allows kerbside access to the third row. The second row of the 7-seat variation is a bench that divides it in a 60:40 ratio. The aisle between the two captain seats provides access to the third row in a 6-seat arrangement. Because the Safari is a three-row SUV, it comes in 6- and 7-passenger versions, with the second row including two captain seats or a bench seat. With the installation of an electronic parking brake, there are a reasonable amount of buttons available. The top model of Safari's interior is finished in Oyster White, with the dashboard maintaining Tata Motors' contemporary design language. The 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels on the new Safari are a size larger than those on the Harrier. The new Safari is 80mm taller and 63mm longer than the Harrier, but the width and wheelbase remain the same. For the third row, there's a huge quarter-glass with an unusual design element buttressing it from the roof rails to the body panel. There's a higher ceiling with the kink that the old Safari was famous for. ![]() The new Safari is clearly built on the 5-seat Harrier much of the front end looks similar, but the split headlight arrangement is shared, and the only notable distinction is the Safari's grille's new, chrome-finished tri-arrow pattern.
